Guler founded by Hari Chand

Hari Chand of Kangra fell into a disused well while hunting and was given up for dead. When he emerged his brother Karam Chand had been enthroned, so Hari Chand founded Haripur-Guler instead. Three and a half centuries later Guler would produce the painting style from which the Kangra school grew.
