Hiuen Tsang travels through the hills

Hiuen Tsang spent four months at Jalandhara with King Utito (Utitas), and travelled on to Kuluta (Kullu), Lahaul and Srughna (Sirmaur). His account is the first external description of the hill country and notes both Buddhist monasteries and Hindu temples in use.
