The Kuluta coin of Virayasa
A copper coin found in Kullu bears the legend 'Rajna Virayasasya Kulutasya' — of Virayasa, king of the Kulutas — in Brahmi, with a Kharoshthi legend on the reverse. It is the single most cited piece of evidence for the antiquity of Kullu.
Kuluta is called Kulanthapitha, 'the end of the habitable world', in Sanskrit sources.
