Ram Singh Pathania's revolt

Ram Singh Pathania, wazir of Nurpur, rose against the British in 1848 in the name of the minor heir Jaswant Singh. He seized the fort of Shahpur Kandi and held out in the Nurpur hills before being defeated near Shahpur, betrayed, and transported to Singapore, where he died in 1849.
