The Suket Satyagraha

Launched from Tattapani on 18 February 1948 under Pandit Padam Dev, the Suket Satyagraha was directed against Raja Lakshman Sen. Volunteers marched on Sundernagar; the state's resistance collapsed and Suket acceded.

It is remembered as the movement that completed the integration — within two months the Chief Commissioner's Province of Himachal Pradesh was proclaimed.
