Gangstang

Gangstang, in the Bhaga basin of Lahaul, lies below Gangstang peak and feeds the Bhaga on its way to Tandi, where the river becomes the Chenab.

It is the Bhaga-side counterpart to the Chandra basin's glaciers further south — the same retreat concerns that apply to Bara Shigri and Sonapani apply here too, since both headwaters feed the state's largest untapped hydel basin.
