Perad

Perad sits on the Lahaul–Chamba divide, its meltwater draining eventually into the Chenab system that the Chandra and Bhaga both feed.

Its position on the district boundary places it among the glaciers of upper Chamba and Lahaul whose retreat is watched for the same reasons as the better-studied ice of the Chandra valley — the bearing on downstream hydel generation and on glacial-lake outburst flood risk.
