Chamera Lake

Chamera Lake is the reservoir of the Chamera hydel projects on the Ravi in Chamba — the district's own river, and the one on which NHPC commissioned its very first project anywhere in India, Baira Siul.

Among the five named reservoirs of this roster — Gobind Sagar, Pong, Chamera, Pandoh and Kol Dam — it is the only one built on the Ravi rather than the Sutlej or the Beas.
