Suraj Tal

Suraj Tal sits just below Baralacha La on its Lahaul side and is the source of the Bhaga, the western headwater of the Chenab — the counterpart, on the opposite side of the same pass, to Chandra Tal and the Chandra.

It is counted among the highest lakes in India, and the pairing to remember is exact: Baralacha La, two lakes on its two sides, two rivers, one confluence at Tandi.
