Subedar Bhim Singh

Commanded the guard at Kasauli. In 1857 he led about eighty men, seized the government treasury and joined the Nasiri battalion at Jutogh near Shimla, forcing the European residents of Shimla to flee.

After the rising collapsed he was sheltered by Raja Shamsher Singh of Bushahr — the one hill ruler who gave the British no assistance.
