Manimahesh Kailash

Manimahesh Kailash, 5,653 m in Chamba, rises directly above Manimahesh lake, the site of the Manimahesh yatra.

It is held sacred and, unlike the state's other high peaks in this roster, has never been climbed — the mountain itself, not only the lake below it, is the object of pilgrimage.
