Pin Parvati Pass

Pin Parvati Pass, 5,319 m in the Great Himalaya, links two river valleys rather than two towns — the Parvati, in Kullu, and the Pin, in Spiti. The Parvati joins the Beas at Bhuntar and the Spiti (which the Pin feeds) joins the Sutlej at Khab, so crossing this pass means crossing from the Beas system to the Sutlej system.

The Parvati rises at the Mantalai glacier above the pass; the Pin gives its name to the Pin Valley National Park on the far side.
